Dr Aileen Jefferis (AJ)

Born in New Zealand, AJ is Adelaide's most experienced physiotherapist. (Over 50 years)

Patients seek her expertise from across Australia and internationally. Some have travelled from as far as India and Canada.

The majority of AJ's patients have seen multiple practitioners without much benefit before receiving her treatment.

One patient had seen 302 other practitioners without recovery before seeing AJ.

AJ works based on her own Front To Back Method which emphasises the Iliopsoas Muscle Complex in many conditions.

In 2016 she completed a PhD titled 'The Role of the Iliopsoas Muscle Complex in Chronic Spinal Pain and Associated Signs and Symptoms'

This treatment involves hands-on myofascial (muscle and fascia) trigger point therapy, to release and restore normal length to muscles.

Outside of physio, in the early 2000s AJ founded a successful charity that ran for over 20 years which provided essential household items to Adelaide's homeless and victims of domestic violence.
